PNWBA Rules
The PNWBA states: "Judging is very serious to the contestants! They have dedicated a lot of time and money to compete in this event. They deserve the best independent and impartial judging we can provide them, based upon PNWBA cooking and judging guidelines."
The three Elements of Evaluation are:
- Appearance
- Tenderness/Texture
- Taste
All teams agree to comply with the current PNWBA rules and regulations, as listed on the Competitors Form. Please note that the rules and regulations of the PNWBA are susceptible to change, and it is your team's responsibility to make sure you are in compliance at the time of competition. At this time, we do not anticipate any major changes that may affect competition. Please visit the Pacific Northwest BBQ Associate (PNWBA) website for the most up-to-date details.
Angie Quaale is our PNWBA Head Judge and David Gassaway is our PNWBA Representative. Judging is accomplished on a totally blind basis.
